Gathering together in a safe, welcoming space and finding friends who share some of your interests matters to us at DCBC, and we began meeting together to read books quietly and then I learned about the Silent Book Club®. SBC is a global organization launched by 2 best friends in 2012 with the goal of creating a global bookish community through a love of reading together.
I reached out to them and applied to become a chapter in their incredible story. Their name and their mission is not to be thrown around casually, a lot of work and attention goes into creating a well-organized group that includes more than 2200 chapters in 70 countries!! We are honored to be given permission to use their logo and direct curious readers to their global initiative.
BYOB (Bring Your Own Book), join us a the table to read and have gentle chatter (if you wish), make new friends, and delight your tastebuds with yummy food or drink. Reservations must be made to secure your spot!
Our chapter meets at Tiramisu Bistro in Edmonton at 6 pm on the last Tuesday of the month (except July, Aug, & Dec). To register for a seat at our next SBC night, please call the store (825-512-1342) or send an email to staff@dcbook.co
